Okay, I don't usually post this stuff, but I just rediscovered this and it made me grin.
This is a writing sample for a Naruto AU rp set on a modern-day university campus. (There was a bit more to it than that, but that's the key point.) Can you imagine Orochimaru teaching college-level chemistry? 'Cause I could! AND IT WAS LOLLERLICIOUS. Obviously, as an AU and a contextless writing sample, the IC-ness is questionable and it's generic: I didn't write in reactions from any specific students.

Except I apparently can't write blatant porn, so I wrote vague, barely-hinted-at porn instead.

It was entirely foolish, utterly ridiculous, and perhaps that’s exactly why both men were smiling crookedly, their lips pulled back tight against the teeth they weren’t quite baring at each other.
“Ready now?”
Kabuto nodded as Gin counted, shaking his fist automatically with each number: “One…two…thr— ”
Metal hit metal, and sparks skittered along the edges of the blades.
“Whoopsie,” Gin commented, looking anything but upset. “I guess I oughtta been more subtle-like, ne?”
“It was kind of obvious,” Kabuto returned, a soft bite of reproof in his tone though he smirked and shoved forward aggressively.
Ichimaru twisted his wrist, and Shinsou sliced through the nin’s kunai like butter.
Kabuto’s fingers flickered out briefly against the death god's forearm before he slid back to what he believed was a safe range. Blood dripped from his left fingers.
Gin tried to flex his right hand and winced a little at the pull of cut muscle, then he looked up at his opponent and grinned broadly.
“Now that's in'erestin'. Seems like we’re gonna be here a while…”

*joyinthedance's money is on Gin, but honestly, Gin seems like a top-from-the-bottom, and Kabuto's always seemed like he could bottom from the top, and both of them are just so... so... er...the way that they are, that I don't think it matters one way or the other. ^___^

Total for this evening: Comparing NIV and NRSV translations to each other and the Greek, comparing pericope in the Synoptics, and then realizing that I need to hit the library for scholarly commentary = ~820 words divided into two drabbles.
